Quick answers for guests and organisers.
Quick answers to the questions people ask most. If yours isn't here, try Common problems or search the guide.

Does it cost anything?Link to this section
No. Every event on Yuyu is free to attend. Yuyu has no ticket sales or payments, so nobody will ask you for card details through it.
Do I need an account to register?Link to this section
Usually not. For most events you enter your name and email, answer the organiser's questions, and your ticket arrives by email. Two exceptions:
- Invite-only events only open for the people who were invited. Sign in with an account using the email address your invitation went to, and verify that address.
- Some features, such as finding a team or seeing all your tickets in one place, work best when you're signed in.
An account also fills in your details for you and keeps your tickets and certificates together under Account → Registrations. See Registering for an event.
Where is my ticket?Link to this section
In the confirmation email, and on your Registrations page if you registered while signed in. If you registered as a guest on this device, the event page may also offer to show your ticket again. Still stuck? See Common problems.
Can I change my answers?Link to this section
Not yourself. Each person can register once per event, so ask the organiser: they can edit your registration and answers from their guest list.
How do I cancel?Link to this section
Open your ticket and choose Can't make it? Cancel registration, or choose Cancel registration next to the event on your Registrations page. Your place goes to the next person on the waitlist, if there is one.
You can't cancel once you've been checked in, after the event has ended, or if your registration was declined. Cancelling deletes your registration and ticket, and it can't be undone, but you can register again later if there's still space.
I got an email asking "Are you still coming?"Link to this section
The organisers want to know who is still coming so they can plan. Choose Yes, I'll be there or No, I can't make it in the email, then send your answer on the page that opens. See Answering "Are you still coming?".
Can I give my ticket to someone else?Link to this section
Ask the organiser. If you registered as a guest, without an account, the organiser can change the name and email on your registration so the ticket moves to the other person; the ticket link stays the same, so forward it to them. A registration made while signed in to an account can't be moved. In that case cancel yours, and the other person registers themselves.
What happens if the event is full?Link to this section
The button changes to Join the waitlist. If someone cancels, the first person on the waitlist gets their place automatically and an email with their ticket. Organisers can also move people up by hand.
Why does it say "pending approval"?Link to this section
The organiser reviews every sign-up for this event. You'll get an email when they approve or decline it.
Who can see my details?Link to this section
The organisers of the event you registered for can see your name, email and answers, and so can the people who run their organisation. They can also export the guest list. Feedback marked as anonymous is stored without your identity. The person who runs this Yuyu server can see account details when helping with support. Yuyu shows no ads and uses no trackers.
Can I get a copy of my data, or delete my account?Link to this section
Signed-in users can choose Download my data on Account → Registrations. There's no button to delete your account yourself: contact the person who runs this Yuyu server, or the event's organiser for anything about a specific event. See Your data and memberships.

Can I charge for tickets?Link to this section
No. Yuyu is built for free community events only.
Who in my team can do what?Link to this section
That depends on their role. Owners and admins create, publish and run events, and invite people. Only the owner changes roles, manages API access and can delete the organisation. Members can't create or publish events. Co-organisers get exactly the permissions you give them on one event. See Roles and permissions.
Why can't I create an event?Link to this section
Two common reasons: you haven't verified your email yet (Yuyu says Verify your email before creating events.), or your role in the organisation doesn't allow it. See Common problems.
Can guests register without an account?Link to this section
Yes, unless the event is invite-only. Guests who register without an account get their ticket by email.
Can I edit someone's registration or move their ticket?Link to this section
Yes. On the guest list, open the guest's More actions menu and choose Edit registration or transfer ticket. For guests who signed in to register, you can view the registration but not move it to someone else. Copy ticket link in the same menu copies their ticket address if they've lost the email.
How do I find out who is still coming?Link to this section
From the event's Emails tab, owners and admins can send an attendance confirmation that asks every confirmed guest to answer Yes or No. Nothing goes out until you choose to send it. To reach one guest by text or chat instead, open their menu in Guests → People and choose Share attendance link. Answers appear on the Emails card, as chips in Guests → People, on the Overview tab and in the guest CSV. See Attendance confirmation.
Does check-in work without Wi-Fi?Link to this section
Yes. Before the doors open, choose Make available offline on the check-in desk. See Checking in offline.
Can I leave an organisation?Link to this section
Yes, from Account → Organisations, choose Leave organisation. The owner can't leave: ownership can't be handed over yet, so the only way out for an owner is to delete the organisation.
How do I connect Yuyu to other tools?Link to this section
Open the organisation's Settings. Owners and admins can set up Webhooks; only the owner sees API access. The guide's Connecting other tools section appears for owners and admins once they sign in.
